Overview & Experience

Attorney Richard William has been practicing Law in South Florida for over twelve years. During this time, he has employed his significant litigation and negotiating skills to achieve success and provide significant value to the clients he represents.

Richard William earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Technology, Jamaica with honors and a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from the Florida International University, College of Law. While in Law School he was named to the prestigious Dean’s list, served as the president of the Black Law Students Association, and was a member of the law school’s board of advocates, representing the School in ABA Regional Intermural Competitions.

Also while in law school he served as an Intern with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. Later he also worked as A Florida Supreme Court Certified Legal Intern with Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted criminal cases under the supervision of an Assistant State Attorney. After completing law school he accepted employment with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney where he continued to prosecute criminal cases all the while gaining valuable litigation and trial experience before opening his own legal practice.

Richard William is a skilled, experienced litigator, and tough negotiator. He litigates in the areas of Criminal Defense in both State and Federal Courts throughout Florida and nationally. He has successfully represented individuals charged with a range of crimes from Murder, Kidnapping and Capital Sexual Battery, to major Drug Trafficking and Fraud. He has successfully handled numerous cases involving Government Law Enforcement and Administrative Agency Investigations and actions to forfeit client assets at the State and Federal Levels including local Police agencies, the FBI, DEA, Internal Revenue Service and United States Customs.
